Why Montessori?

What is Montessori?

Montessori education is an approach developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori. It is characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development.

Montessori Pre-School and Kindergarten

Children learn by absorbing information from their environments. When they are introduced to and given the opportunity to experiment with the proper materials, children will learn on their own. Montessori teachers observe the child and guide them, one on one, to an appropriate end. A child learns at his/her own pace and is not held back by other children or by fear of failure.

Because of this, Montessori classrooms are a peaceful place that inspire creativity. Children learn faster and are more confident about what they have learned.
